Curbside Records was established in June 2003 by founders Dayna Gelenberg and David Gray. The label quickly began work on it's first project with hip-hop artist Invisible. "Ionic", Invisible's debut album has yet to be released still pending some legal hang-ups, but you can hear some tracks on the Myspace & Purevolume. Invisible is currently in the studio working on his second album. Meanwhile, Curbside released it's second project, Curbside Trail Mix Vol. 1 in the summer of 2005. The Trail Mix compilation album features 16 tracks of various genres from both local and not so local artists. The Comp quickly became known as the summer's "Essential Mix Disc". Curbside's other resident artist is singer/songwriter GloryFront. GloryFront can be found on the Trail Mix Comp along with Invisible. GloryFront has been busy in the studio working on his own project and will be heading out on tour in 2006. Keep checking back for dates near you. For now, you can listen to tracks on Myspace. Curbside Records is all about working with other independent musicians, organizations, bands, zines, and promoters to help the advancement of good music in both the independent music scene and the world. At a time when marketability takes precedence over quality in mainstream music, Curbside Records is looking for good music, genuine talent with realistic success and longevity in mind. Rather than specializing in any one genre Curbside Records plays on the style of old school variety shows. So no matter what kind of music you play or if you know someone who plays Curbside is interested in hearing it.
